Cathy Goulet, B.Comm, MA-IS; Founder and President

Cathy Goulet has 30 years of community economic development knowledge and experience rooted in a lifetime in rural and remote communities. Her interests include thought leadership, change management, and professional coaching. She is known for building relationships and providing pragmatic advice. Cathy’s experience is supported by her graduate research on the impact of leadership on economic resilience in rural communities.

A committed community member, Cathy is past Vice-chair of the Northern Alberta Business Incubator (NABI), a member of the Alberta Centre for Rural Sustainability Advisory Committee, a Board member of the Alberta Motor Association and a member of the Economic Developers Association of Alberta and the International Coach Federation.

Steve McGrath Killick Leadership Group

Steve McGrath, BPE, PCC; Senior Facilitator

Steve directly works with clients from start to finish of a project. He works in planning design, facilitates workshops and follows through to coaching during the implementation phase. Steve has successfully supported leaders for 30 years. From mountaintops and oceans to executive offices and boardrooms all over the world, as a Professional Certified Coach, Steve understands how to bridge the divide from planning to action.

A seasoned municipal leader, Al Harvey brings strategic thinking and operational wisdom to the Killick team. For our municipal clients, his understanding of governance ensures that analysis and recommendations are well grounded and actionable. As a recognized mentor and trusted advisor, Al’s down-to-earth approach is a great fit for our clients.

Caroline McAuley BSc. RD MBA (CED) ICD; Governance Strategist

Caroline brings a wealth of experience and skill in municipal government, organizational and board leadership. Her passion and commitment to rural sustainability is evident, as she championed initiatives to ensure strong economic futures in communities and organizations employing economic development and regional collaboration strategies. Using innovation and vision to strategically position organizations for the future are evident in the communities where she has worked.

Eva Beyer, CRM; Governance and Records Management Advisor

With over 14 years’ experience in municipal government concentrated in Corporate Services, Eva has a impressive breadth of governance expertise. An experienced returning officer, with several successful elections completed Eva also provides expert policy and bylaw development and maintenance advice. With her passion for records and information management, Eva is one of the very few Certified Records Managers in Canada. Killick is pleased to share Eva’s thorough, detail-oriented talents with our clients.

Karen Doyle, BA (in progress); Non-profit Governance Specialist

Karen Doyle has supported Alberta’s not-for-profit sector in governance roles for over 30 years. She brings extensive knowledge and understanding of the sector and has a vast repertoire of experiences to share. Karen has extensive training in all aspects of community development, particularly in participatory group processes. Knowledgeable in non-profit management including governance, strategic planning, fund development and program analysis enjoys working directly with the volunteers who make Alberta’s world go round.

Laureen Brady Killick Leadership Group

Lauren Brady, B Comm; Project Manager

Lauren leads project management processes for Killick and for our clients. For our management services program, Lauren handles budget preparation, monitoring and reporting and project reporting. Her experience includes fifteen years progressive project control experience in financial and energy industries; cost control analyst; project planning and management.

Bobbi Menard

Bobbi Menard, Content Strategist

Creating implementation success needs good information flow. Bobbi began her career as an award-winning community journalist in small towns. She has more than 20 years working in content design and production, communications strategy and social media program design and delivery.

Tomas Nilsonn Killick Leadership Group

Tomas Nilsson, PhD; Economist and Data Interpreter

Tomas brings a wealth of experience (and enthusiasm!) in data analysis and research. Since arriving in Canada in 2005, he has worked on carbon taxation, education, energy development, food safety, minimum wage and trade, which are all issues that affect communities across Western Canada to some extent. Growing up on a farm and trained in agricultural economics in Uppsala Sweden and West Lafayette Indiana, he brings a particular interest and passion for rural and community development, which is useful for Killick’s rural clients.

Carleen is the logistics backbone of Killick Leadership Group. Carleen has over 25 years of experience working directly with businesses in administrative and bookkeeping capacities. Combined with her project management background, that means our clients have smoothly flowing community engagements, well organized and documented team meetings and overall ease.

Mandeep Singh, B. Elect. Engineering; IT Design and Administration

A multi-talented IT guru, Mandeep is a data management and systems control expert. Killick’s clientele benefit from his ongoing software and systems support. Mandeep also develops team training, custom PowerPoints, WordPress site design and updating and graphics applications.

Bob Goulet Killick Leadership Group

Bob Goulet, CFO and Photographer

Bob Goulet is Killick’s resident photographer with a 50-year history of amateur work in Alberta, Newfoundland and Canada’s north. When you need great group or landscape shots for documents and presentations, Killick has a gifted photographer to handle that. And CFO…Bob likes to call himself “Chief Flunky Officer” which means he has done everything from take great pictures of rural leaders to drive the bus for regional agriculture tours. Bob is Killick’s biggest supporter and our President’s go-to-guy.
